Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Experience in pediatric care, especially in school or clinical settings
- Strong ability to provide 1:1 nursing care to students with varied health needs
- Knowledge of common childhood conditions, medications, and emergency protocols
- Excellent communication skills for partnering with educators, families, and healthcare teams
- Adaptability to work with students of different ages and developmental levels
- CPR and First Aid certification
- A compassionate, patient-centered approach
Responsibilities:
- Deliver day-to-day 1:1 nursing care to assigned students, supporting their unique health needs
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments
- Monitor vital signs and respond to medical issues swiftly
- Maintain accurate health records and care documentation
- Communicate student progress and pertinent health information to parents and school staff
- Support students academically by providing a safe, healthy environment
- Educate students, families, and staff on relevant health topics as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate on care plans when required
